Country music singer and Disney star Miley Cyrus’s tour bus was involved in a deadly crash in Virginia early Friday morning (Nov 20) where the bus driver died. The accident happened on I-85 in Dinwiddie County in Virginia, according to reports.

Since the accident, Miley Cyrus has released a statement which spoke on the Cryus’ sadness of the loss of Bill ‘Uncle Bill’ Douglas, 53 (the bus driver) of Austin, Texas.

When the accident occurred, Miley Cyrus is stated to have been a passenger on another one of her tour buses as they headed to Greensboro, North Carolina for a scheduled show on Sunday.

The tour bus which crashed veered to the side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned. It was occupied by nine others whom had to escape from the windshield.

One crew member, Mary Zilio, 48, is the only current person being reported as receiving substantial injuries at this time and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, it is undetermined what caused the crash, however additional reportings are stating that Bill Douglas may have suffered from cardiac arrest.

Currently Miley Cyrus’ scheduled show is still on for Sunday.
