Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum artist Wyclef Jean and former frontman of The Fugees will be releasing a memoir which will be written with bestselling author and Rolling Stone writer Anthony Bozza. Anothony Bozza is known for co-authoring the book Whatever You Say I Am with Eminem and Tommyland with Tommy Lee.
The untitled book will be published by It Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publisher and will chronicle the life of the multi-talented singer, producer and musician as a child from La Serre in Haiti and his immigration to Brooklyn, NY.
The book will talk on his struggles and being the son of a preacher where he played music in church and how he transformed into being a rapper inorder to fit in with his peers. Wyclef Jean’s memoir will also speak on the success of The Fugees and his solo career which lead him to being who he is today.
Wyclef Jean states that he’s happy to share his journey with others, ‘coming from a hut to the projects to the mansion.’
Wyclef Jean’s memoir was acquired by Vice President and Associate Publisher for It Books, Mauro DiPreta, from Richard Abate at 3 Arts Entertainment.
Currently there is no release date to when Wyclef Jean’s memoir will be released.
