Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performance date for the World Series is still on, but has been pushed up one day. This follows after rumors sparked that Alicia Keys and Jay-Z would not be performing for the Game 1 World Series after it was stated that President Barack Obama’s wife, first lady Michelle Obama, would be appearing for the first game.
On Thursday, October 29th, at the pre-game ceremony, rapper Jay-Z and singer/producer Alicia Keys indeed will be performing their collaboration track “Empire State of Mind” from off of Jay-Z’s “Blueprint 3″ album, as reported on HipHopRX.com. The performance will air on Fox at 6:30 PM CST.
According to Major League Baseball, the date was changed for their performances due to the forecast for inclement weather which could have impacted the game field and created unsafe conditions on Wednesday, October 28, 2009.
