Rapper Jay-Z and singer Alicia Keys are set to take on the Yankee Stadium come October 28. The two will be performing their collaboration track “Empire State of Mind” before the Game 1 World Series. “Empire State of Mind” is the same track they performed during the VMA’s which resulted in them being invaded by female rapper Lil Mama.
“Empire State of Mind” comes off of Jay-Z latest album “The Blueprint 3″ which was released in September 8, 2009 and reportedly leaked a week before.
Following Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance together, Alicia Keys will perform the National Anthem.
New York Yankees will be playing against the Philadelphia Phillies and will air live on Fox 6:30 PM CST.
In other news, Jay-Z and Alicia keys are expected to perform again as a duet on November 22 at the American Music Awards 7:00 PM CST on ABC at the Los Angeles Nokia Theater.
