Rapper Lil Wayne Subject To DNA Profiling On Gun Charges; Faces 3 Yrs

Cash Money rapper, Lil Wayne, is appearing in court today in New York stemming from a 2007 gun-possession case. In the court appearance, Lil Wayne must surrender a DNA sample to establish whether the gun that was retrieved by police from his tour bus was his.

In 2007, Lil Wayne was arrested and charged with felony gun possession. The rapper plead not guilty to the charge, however, prosecutors are looking to pen the gun on the rapper through the use of the DNA profiling technique (low copy number DNA). This could land Lil Wayne 3 1/2 years in prison.

In other news, the rapper recently welcomed a newborn son with actress Lauren London, as reported on HipHopRX.com. The rapper is also expecting a third son with R&B singer and ex-wife of The-Dream, Nivea.
