Grammy Award winning artist and music producer Wyclef Jean, 36, and former Fugee’s member is heading back to college after dropping out early.
Wyclef Jean, who’s classes began on today (October 5, 2009), will be attending Berklee College of Music in Boston and will be completing his goal of obtaining a music degree.
According to Wyclef Jean, he had only completed one semester of college before dropping out so that he could pursue his music career and now he’s returning to get his bachelor’s degree in music.
On last month in Washington, DC during the Congressional Black Caucus Phoenix Awards Dinner, Wyclef publicly mentioned that he would be returning to college and stated that education is important to him.
Wyclef Jean is stated to have previously attended Five Towns College in Dix Hills, N.Y. which offers degree programs in Jazz/Commercial Music (AAS, B.Mus., M.Mus., DMA), Music Education (B.Mus., M.Mus., DMA), Theatre Arts (BFA), and Business Management (A.S., AAS, BPS), among others.
