Beyonce Named Billboard’s Woman of the Year; To Perform At MTV VMAs
R&B music singer Beyonce Knowles has been named ‘Woman of the Year’ by Billboard magazine and will be honored at Billboard’s Women In Music ceremony on October 2 in New York City.
The singer will be receiving the award due to her charity work, leadership, achievements and due to inspiring the music business with her success over the past year.
In other news, Beyonce Knowles recently stopped in the studio where last year’s “The X Factor” winner Alexandra Burke was recording in L.A. Reportedly, Beyonce Knowles husband Jay-Z is an executive producer on 21 year-old Alexandra Burke’s debut album.
In addition to being named as Billboard’s “Women of The Year,” the singer has been announced to be performing her latest single “Sweet Dreams” at the MTV Music Video Awards on September 13.
