KFC New ‘Double Down’ Sandwich; No Bread Buns About It, Just 2 Filets

The KFC ‘Double Down’ — two slices of bacon, melted swiss cheese and pepper Jack cheese, and allegedly the secret “Colonel’s sauce” sandwiched between two fried chicken fillets instead of a bun is what you get when you purchase Kentucky Fried Chicken’s new sandwich.

Many are calling the new sandwich a heart attack waiting to happen due to it possibly packing approximately 1,200 calories, more than half of the calorie intake for the entire day for many people (1940 calories per day for women and 2550 for men).

According to KFC, the ‘Double Down’ contains “Original Recipe filets” and not breasts which supposedly take down the calorie intake of about 500 calories.

The KFC “Double Down” ranges for around $6.99 and is being tested in selected states.
