Soulja Boy and T.I. Perform At Concert Before T.I. Heads To Prison

Rappers Soulja Boy and Atlanta rapper, Grand Hustle CEO, T.I., were caught on video at a live performance at T.I.’s last concert before heading to prison in Forest City, Arkansas on May 26, 2009.

T.I. real name Clifford Harris, Jr., 28, can be seen joining rapper Soulja Boy on stage for his chart topping song “Turn My Swag On” off Soulja Boy’s album “iSouljaBoyTellEm.”

T.I. took the stage along with his five children at the Atlanta Philips Arena with an estimated 16,000 concertgoers in attendance at the entertainment event.

At the end of Soulja Boy’s performance, the rapper can be seen back stage greeting and meeting people including rapper 8Ball of the legendary Memphis rap duo 8Ball and MJG who were one of the performers at the concert. Other performers included Rich Kids, Lil Duval, Kenny Burns, Big Kuntry, amongst others, with appearances by Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, Andre 3000 of Outkast, Atlanta Hawk’s Josh Smith, Killer Mike, NBA Player Amar’e Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns and more.

It has been reported that at T.I.’s concert, the hip hop artist spoke to the crowd about preparing to serve his sentence stating that he hoped everyone learned from his mistakes which the rapper was greeted by a crowd of supporters holding up signs of encouragement.

In related news, T.I. must report to prison by 12 noon in order to start his sentence of one year and one day which the rapper will be credited 305 days for home confinement he served while awaiting trial in the case, instead of the reported 2 months prison time.

Meanwhile, Soulja Boy recently performed his chart topping song “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” at JET nightclub inside The Mirage in Las Vegas. While Soulja Boy’s song “Turn My Swag On” holds No. 4 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop chart, No. 5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and No. 5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, Soulja Boy’s other chart topping song, “Kiss Me Thru the Phone,” is currently No. 1 on the Billboard’s Hot Rap Tracks chart, No. 6 on the Hot 100 Airplay, No. 10 on the Mainstream Top 40 and No. 10 on the Hot 100 Billboard chart. T.I’s single featuring Justin Timberlake “Dead and Gone” off his Grammy Award winning album “Paper Trail,” is still holding down on the charts at No. 2 on the Hot Ringtones chart, and No. 7 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Airplay.
