Swizz Beatz Seeks Divorce Court Gag Order After Alicia Keys Affair

After rumors began to surface on last year that music producer Swizz Beatz born Kasseem Dean was involved in a romantic relationship with R&B singer Alicia Keys which he denied, the producer and rapper’s estranged wife Mashonda revealed that he had been having an affair in an interview earlier this year, as previously reported.

Currently the two (Swizz Beatz and Mashonda) are going through divorce proceedings in which he is reportedly seeking a gag order to prevent R&B singer Mashonda from disclosing information since his relationship with Alicia Keys is being blamed for their divorce and to keep media from prying after he admitted to his relationship via a song and in an interview.

A few weeks ago, a remix of Canadian rapper Drake’s song “Best I Ever Had” featured a hook of Swizz Beatz in which he made mention of his relationship with singer Alicia Keys in which he rapped:

Wake up in the morning and my baby cooked me breakfast, A’s naked wearing nothing on but a necklace…/Yeah, she say she wanna treat me like a king; I get big gifts so the money ain’t a damn thing/ She gave me a party at the Guggenheim… What’s next? The ring? The baby? She really loves me!

Meanwhile Mashonda’s attorney, Bernard Clair has ousted Swizz Beatz for the single in which he told New York Post that Swizz Beatz bragged about his affair that ended his marriage with his wife.

Now that Swizz Beatz has admitted to his relationship with Alicia Keys, Bernard Clair went on to state that issues with his divorce and legal issues were “flying under the radar” and now that the music producer went public about his relationship, he suddenly wants a gag order and the media to be locked out.

Swizz Beatz and Mashonda met in 1998, and were married for four and a half years. The two have one son together, Kasseem Dean, Jr., who was born in January of 2007, which the couple sent out press releases after the birth.
