Even since news broke last month that R&B singer, songwriter Kelis, pregnant wifey of rapper Nas, was filing for divorce from her hubby of almost 5 years, in the midst of a her reported 7 months pregnancy, more news has been circulating of the supposed Kelis sex tape, cheating rumors aimed at Nas and Kelis, verbal abuse allegations and now rapper Nas allegedly wants to pay Kelis “nothing” in spousal support.
The two [Kelis and Nas], who have been married since 2005, reportedly are expecting their first child this summer but according to Kelis, due to “irreconcilable differences,” are breaking up their 4 year matrimony.
On Thursday April 30, 2009, Kelis filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court and now the divorce may be seemingly getting messy or should we say ‘getting ugly’ as, according to TMZ, Nas does not want to pay Kelis any spousal support as she reportedly requested in court along with child support.
Nas has reportedly fired back at Kelis’ request for spousal support with his own response asking the judge to deny her the spousal support she’s seeking and asking her to ‘foot the bill’ for her own lawyer’s fees.
Meanwhile, both Nas and Kelis are seeking joint custody of their unborn child.
