JoJo Simmons, Son of Run DMC’s Rev Run, ‘Busted’ For Weed and Resisting Arrest
Joseph ‘JoJo’ Simmons Jr., the teenage son of Joseph ‘Rev Run’ Simmons of Run DMC and reality television star of MTV’s reality TV show Run’s House, was arrested on late Friday, May 8th, for possession of marijuana. The rapper and member of the rap group Team Blackout was allegedly caught buying marijuana and busted while rolling a joint sitting in his vehicle on Manhattan’s Upper West Side
According to reports, JoJo Simmons, 19, tried to flee the scene of the alleged crime which led to to another charge of attempted reckless endangerment when Simmons almost struck a police officer’s vehicle with his car while backing in reverse.
In addition to attempted reckless endangerment Simmons was reportedly charged with resisting arrest and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, although a statement has not been made, family members including his father Reverend Run and sister, Vanessa Simmons have both left messages via their Twitter micro-blogs.
“You can learn many things from your Children.. (Patience for instance! :-),” stated Reverend Run.
Vanessa Simmons texted, “As Humans we all make mistakes…they make up your life lessons and experiences…JoJo is ok, he just made a oops … I’ll update more on my thoughts later on my global grind blog..”
