Canadian born music producer Scott Storch was arrested on last Friday for failing to return a leased Bentley in his possession.
According to reports, the celebrity music producer was arrested after he failed to return a 2004 Bentley he started renting in 2006 from the original owners Atlas Leasing Company which was allegedly due back to them in 2007.
Scott Storch failed to return the car which he had lent to rapper Lil Kim, who was in possession of the vehicle until Atlas repo man showed up to repossess the vehicle in 2008 after trying to retrieve the vehicle from Storch for over several months.
Scott Storch is known for his major music production credits for artists such as The Roots, Ice Cube, Fat Joe, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, Eminem, Christina Aguilera, T.I., Lil Wayne, Paris Hilton, Beyoncé, Chamillionaire, Chris Brown, 50 Cent, amongst others.
The producers latest work currently includes production for Ciara on her upcoming album “Fantasy Ride.”
Currently free on bail and in rehab, Scott Storch is scheduled to be back in Broward County Court Friday, May 29.
Scott Storch’s arrest and possible fines stemming from the leased vehicle may be the least of the music producer’s worries as Storch supposedly is behind $720,000 in property taxes stemming from 2006 through 2008, as well as $46,000 in child support.
In addition to that, back on February 13 of last year, a judge ordered Scott Storch to pay $509,717 which included a home loan, attorney fees and penalties for four tracks (valued at $400,000) owed to David Menefield, owner of the LA Confidential label.
