On Saturday, April 4th, as previously reported, Run DMC, one of hip-hop’s greatest icons, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame making the group the second hip-hop act to be inducted preceding only Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.
The group was inducted by Run-DMC inspired rapper Eminem who revealed that the emcee’s Joseph “Reverend Run” Simmons and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, and the late DJ Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell being inducted into the Hall of Fame by him was one of the biggest honors of his career.
