On yesterday night and early morning today, concerts in Colorado Springs, Colorado featuring rapper E-40 reportedly ended in violence, gunshots, a police car chase and one man dead.

Terry Gaines Jr., 22, was arrested after a high speed police chase, when police say Gaines Jr. was connected to the shooting outside the event Friday. Gaines reportedly has a rap sheet of previous arrests for domestic violence and misdemeanor weapons possession.

According to authorities, the police were scouting for trouble when Mr. Biggs Family Fun Event Center booked rapper E-40 because of past violence which erupted in Denver at a past concert featuring E-40. The police however underestimated the crowd attendance and were not prepared for the big turn-out with only nine officers from a special unit entitled the COMMIT team on-site along with two patrol officers and three additional off-duty officers hired by Mr. Biggs as security, reported the Gazette.

As previously reported, at a sold out event at Club Vinyl, in Denver, Colorado on last year, at least 5 people were shot following E-40′s concert, according to authorities.

E-40′s camp released a statement following the incident denying any involvement from E-40.

The unidentified victim of last night’s shooting was pronounced dead at Penrose Hospital on Friday.

Currently Terry Gaines Jr., the alleged shooter, is being held in El Paso County jail. According to police records, the 6’2″ Terry Gaines who has the tattoos “TLG” “MOB” inked on his body, currently has no bond set as of yet.
