Snoop Dogg Brings On Bollywood’s Tanvi, of Movie ‘Slumdog,’ For ‘Snoop Dogg Millionaire’

News posted March 21, 2009

Snoop Dogg Millionaire
Rapper Snoop Dogg, is into Bollywood movies, and has released a new track entitled “Snoop Dogg Millionaire,” a hip hop reference to the multi-award winning movie “Slumdog Millionaire” (eight Academy Awards, four Golden Globes, five Critics’ Choice Awards and seven BAFTA Awards). Not only does Snoop Dogg reference the movie in the title of the song, but he also brings on Bollywood singer Tanvi Shah of the Slumdog Millionaire soundtracks “Gangsta Blues” and “Jai Ho” which the rapper samples in his “Snoop Dogg Millionaire” song.

Tanvi Shah is not to be confused with actress Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar who played one of the roles of Latika, one of the main characters in the movie “Slumdog Millionaire.”

Snoop Dogg even mocks the cover of the movie on his promotional poster for “Snoop Dogg Millionaire.” (view image)

The “Snoop Dogg Millionaire” song is either a promotional song for his upcoming album or either an actual album song off Snoop Dogg’s upcoming “Malice in Wonderland” album, as the rapper references the title of the album at the beginning of the “Snoop Dogg Millionaire” track.

Snoop Dogg’s “Malice in Wonderland” is a part of Snoop Dogg’s new music deal with MTV as previously reported and, as of yet, has no exact release date except that it is expected to drop in 2009.
