  1. Linda Strickland says:

Few people on the Real Housewives of Atlanta have a story line that has real meaning. There’s a lot of drama and backbiting, but Kandi Burrus is an established artist in her own right with a solid background and reputation. I hope she realizes that if she and A. J. really love each other, they should get married if that’s what they really want, despite what everyone else thinks. I hope Kandi reads this site, because I have this to say: If you and A. J.love each other and want to spend the rest of your live together, than don’t let your decision depend on what anyone else has to say about it. Apparently, the intimacy of your relationship led you to a decision to marry. No man would put a ring of that type on your finger if he didn’t really love you. He’s willing to give you time to decide what you really want, but you are a grown woman. Cut the apron strings. Your mother doesn’t have to like anything about him, but your are the one who would be waking up to him every morning, not her. She needs to respect your wishes and your decision. If your postponement of your wedding is because of what everyone else is saying, maybe you don’t really want to marry him. So are you willing to end up without someone you love because others don’t agree with you in this? Sure, everyone else will be happy that you didn’t marry him, but where will that leave you? They don’t know him like you do, and if you need more time, fine, but don’t give up on a good man because of everyone else. Maybe they are jealous. You already have it going on. Sometimes it takes something like this to show you who is really in your corner. Stop basing your major decisions on what someone else says. You’ve worked hard to get where you are, and you don’t makes decisions on a whim. A man truly loving you is not a whim. Seriously consider what is happening here. This is your life and the decisions you make, you have to live with. Just make sure you do what will make you happy, not everyone else, including your mother. Like I said, you’re a grown woman. Stop basing your decisions on the opinions of everyone else. Live your life. Be happy. Do it your way, because at the end of the day, everyone else is happy that you did what they wanted. What about you?
