Looks like pint-size rapper Lil Kim along with her footwork has drawn the attention of an untapped market for Dancing With the Stars after it premiered with an all-time high on last week. More than 22 million viewers tuned in to the show to watch celebrities who competed against other competing celebrities with a trained partner. The show managed to top the ratings of House, Big Bang Theory, Chuck, and Gossip Girl.
While the show seems to be a success for its eighth season, even before the show aired two were injured during rehearsals for the show which included Jackass star Steve-O and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Nancy O’Dell is out after tearing the cartilage in her knee.
As previously reported Lil Kim was predicted to be on Dancing With the Stars even before being released from prison stating, “When I was in prison, me and my girls used to watch it, I’m serious, it’s a true story. Yeah, we use to watch it, and then my girlfriends would be like, Kim, you need to be on that show. It was like the #1 show in prison!”
Other celebrities competing on the show include Holly Madison (Girls Next Door/Playboy), Jewel (singer), Shawn Johnson (Olympic gymnast), Steve-O (Jackass), David Alan Grier (actor/comedian), Denise Richards (actress), Steve Wozniak (Apple co-founder), Gilles Marini (actor), Ty Murray (rodeo athlete), Melissa Rycroft (reality star/Bachelor), Lawrence Taylor (NFL), Chuck Wicks (songwriter/singer) and Belinda Carlisle (Go-Go’s), .
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8/7 PM CST on ABC.
