T.I., Shawty Lo Squash Beef, Take Picture Together On Stage
After dissing each other for more than a year following an incident which occurred at the Dirty Awards in Atlanta, it seems that on Friday night, rappers T.I., real name Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., and Shawty Lo, real name Carlos Walker, joined each other onstage at Club Crucial to end their differences.
The beef was allegedly sparked by Shawty Lo doing a version of the song “Ain’t I” by Yung L.A. one of T.I.’s Grand Hustle artists which was considered a diss version under the title “Don’t I,” as previously reported.
According to an interview with MTV, Shawty Lo stated that he told T.I. his side of the story where they talked about 15 minutes.
“We talked for, like, 15 minutes. We decided in 2009, we’re coming into a clean slate. And he’s finnin’ to go in. What better place to do it than in Bankhead at Club Crucial? It was unexpected. We already talked. Me being a man, I just went up there, and the crowd went crazy. They was shocked. We dapped each other as soon as I hit the stage. It was a good feeling,” the rapper stated.
Shawty Lo is reportedly working on a new album, titled “I Am Carlos” featuring Bun B, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Mya, Trey Songz, amongst others. The album is scheduled for release in June.
Meanwhile, rapper T.I. is preparing to start serving a one year jail sentence this month on March 27, 2009 on 2007 weapons charges. The rapper is currently finishing up his “Live Your Life” Farewell Tour which has only a few more scheduled appearances including TX, CA and NV (view full dates here).
