Oprah Winfrey Shares Thoughts About Chris Brown and Rihanna; Possibly To Air Special

According to sources, media mogul Oprah Winfrey has shared her thoughts about the Chris Brown and Rihanna (Robyn Fenty) alleged domestic assault.

“You need somebody to tell you the truth in this moment. And the truth is guys, both Chris Brown and Rihanna, if I were your friend, I would call you up and I would say ‘give it some time, get yourself some counseling, take care of yourself, heal yourself first’,” stated Oprah Winfrey.

Winfrey went on to say that ‘love doesn’t hurt’ and ‘she doesn’t care what his plea is.’

“And also, ‘love doesn’t hurt.’ I’ve been saying this to women for years; love doesn’t hurt. ‘And if a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He will hit you again. I don’t care what his plea is, he will hit you again,’” adds Oprah Winfrey.

Prior to this, Winfrey reportedly made a private phone call to Rihanna sharing her thoughts with the singer.

“Rihanna declined to have it as a topic on the show but spoke to her as a friend. Oprah told her that if its anything she can do just let her know,” a source told celebrity gossip site Blackarazzi on last month.

Reportedly, Oprah is planning to air a show on dating and domestic violence which may be scheduled for Thursday, March 12th, though this hasn’t been confirmed by Oprah or her sources.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown is preparing for his new arraignment which has been scheduled for April 6, 2009 after being charged on two felonies: criminal threats and assault.
