HipHopRX.com has learned that Grammy award-winning rapper Coolio, born Artis Leon Ivey, Jr, 45, has been arrested for possession of crack cocaine at the Los Angeles International Airport - LAX terminal in Los Angeles.

Celebrity website TMZ is reporting that Coolio was found with crack cocaine while going through security screening before his Southwest Airlines flight where he reportedly got physical with an airport screener.

The rapper was supposedly headed to Tulsa, Ok for a booking at the Flytrap Music Hall along with Tone Loc and Shock G of The Digital Underground.

It seems that the rapper has been finding himself in a bit of more trouble as well this year.

On last month, as previously reported, Coolio was reportedly involved in a nightclub brawl where audience members began throwing objects such as plastic bottles and ice cubes at the rapper as he performed on stage.

As well as, last Wednesday, Coolio was reportedly robbed of his jewelry, his glasses, shoes, and other possessions and assaulted by numerous audience members after the rapper attempted to stage dive into the crowd.

The rapper also supposedly had two shows scheduled in Russia for Mar 7th & 8th, according to his MySpace site, which now may end up being cancelled.

Meanwhile, the rapper entered the Celebrity Big Brother 2009 (UK) house at the beginning of January, alongside guest stars La Toya Jackson and Verne Troyer.

Rapper Coolio is most known for his 1990’s hit singles “Fantastic Voyage” off his debut album “It Takes a Thief” and song “Gangsta’s Paradise” which is off the self-entitled quadruple-platinum album “Gangsta’s Paradise.”
