Flo Rida Denies Dropping Chris Brown Song Due To Rihanna Assault
Rapper Flo Rida denies recent reports that he dropped singer Chris Brown’s collaboration song ‘Sweat’ over the alleged assault of Rihanna. As previously reported, the rapper was quoted as stating in numerous reports, “I recorded a great song with Chris. But I won’t be releasing it now because of what’s going on with him and Rihanna,” while other sources did state that it was due to a clearance issue.
In a report from MTV, Flo Rida disputed the rumor stating that Rihanna’s alleged assault was not the reason he dropped the collaboration with Brown, in fact, the rapper stated there were a number of songs that didn’t get included on his upcoming album “R.O.O.T.S. (Route Of Overcoming The Struggle)” which reports have the drop date scheduled for March 31, 2009, however other listings have the release date as April 7, 2009.
The rapper told Us Magazine that he never made that statement. “I think someone must have got it twisted,” Flo Rida said. The rapper then goes on to explain that it was just that track that had got nicked from the album.
“This was way before, at least a month. I had been done with this record,” the rapper stated.
