New Details: Usher’s Wife Placed Under Coma, Suffered Cardiac Arrest During Plastic Surgery

R&B singer Usher Raymond IV, 30, reportedly cancelled his Grammy gig after his wife Tameka Foster-Raymond, 37, became seriously ill over this past weekend. According to numerous reports, Tameka became ill due to plastic surgery complications in Brazil. Now, new details have emerged.
According to the Brazilian news site G1, Foster-Raymond reportedly was put into a medically-induced coma for 24 hours and is currently recovering after suffering medical trauma from a liposuction procedure.
She reportedly suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest after being anesthetized for the cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Gabriel E. Hunt Jr., a neurosurgeon from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center was reportedly brought on and she is reported to be under his care in São Paulo.
