Chris Brown Arrested, Charged With Felony, Domestic Assault; Rihanna Leaves Hospital, Postpones Concert

Celebrity Couple Chris Brown and Rihanna Involved in An Alleged Physical Altercation After Break-Up; Singer Chris Brown Turns Himself In After Allegedly Committing Assault

On the night of the 51st Grammy Awards, at a Clive Davis pre-Grammy party, celebrity singer Chris Brown born Christopher Maurice Brown, 19, and celebrity singer Rihanna born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, 20, were allegedly involved in a physical altercation / scuffle with one another which led to singer Chris Brown being wanted for questioning, eventually arrested by L.A. Police and charged with assault. This came after Rihanna, allegedly and anonymously, filed a police report of the physical altercation incident from the hospital where she was reportedly being treated at for minor bruises.

It was first not known that the woman who filed the report, when the news first caught wind of the story, because Rihanna supposedly withheld her name from the report.

Chris Brown would later turn himself into the L.A. police department (L.A.P.D.) after the police were allegedly first searching for the 19 year old R&B singer for questioning. It was unclear at first whether the singer would be arrested or not, however, he was indeed arrested on assault charges which he would later be released on $50,000 bail.

The R&B / Pop celebrity couple were scheduled to appear at the Grammy’s the same night of the alleged assault which both cancelled.

Rihanna later checked out of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center hospital and opted to cancel a sold-out concert scheduled for Friday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Meanwhile, Chris Brown is scheduled to appear in court on March 5 on felony charges of domestic assault.

Reportedly, the physical altercation and alleged assault were the result of the couple fighting over a very recent break up of their highly publicized celebrity love affair.
