A new CD by the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes is expected to release January 27th, 2009 entitled “Eye Legacy” featuring the remaining members T-Boz and Chilli. Many of the unreleased songs for the album “Eye Legacy” were recorded before her death on April 25, 2002 and follows behind her last album “Supernova” recorded in 2001. Left Eye recorded many of the songs during the time that “Supernova” was cancelled in the US for not performing well on the US Charts although elsewhere it was doing fairly well.

DJ Drama allegedly got into an altercation on Monday, January 12th, with some people who are stated to have been affiliated with Young Jeezy’s Corporate Thugz Entertainment according to reports. It’s being stated that the incident occurred during a screening of the “Notorious B.I.G.” in Atlanta, GA unfortunately.

Gucci Mane punches Atlanta female rapper Mac Bre-Z at a album release party who is featured on the song “Stupid” with Gucci Mane. According to Mac Bre-Z, in the video she states that she came out and Gucci Mane was probably not expecting her and that she had some type of relationship with the rapper who visibly had hostility towards the female hip hop artist because his other girl was there and he showed his anger when he shoved her off the stage at the beginning of the altercation. This was sparked also due to the DJ reportedly playing one of their tracks. Afterwards, Mac Bre-Z threw some type of glass object at the rapper which sparked him to lunge at her and punch her in the face as seen in the video tape.

According to sources, rapper Bizzy Bone born Byron McCane of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was robbed and beaten on January 5th after returning to the Universal Hilton Hotel after a night at a restaurant. The rapper is stated to have been approached by a number of men and women who then choked and beat him before snagging his jewelry.
