Left Eye of TLC Album To Release ft. sister Reigndrop, TLC, Missy Elliot, Others

Lisa Left Eye Lopes Album - Eye Legacy
A new CD by the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes is expected to release January 27th, 2009 entitled “Eye Legacy” featuring the remaining members T-Boz and Chilli. Many of the unreleased songs for the album “Eye Legacy” were recorded before her death on April 25, 2002 and follows behind her last album “Supernova” recorded in 2001. Left Eye recorded many of the songs during the time that “Supernova” was cancelled in the US for not performing well on the US Charts although elsewhere it was doing fairly well.

The first single to release “Let’s Just Do It” which was released on January 13, 2009 from the album features music producer/singer Missy Elliot along with T-Boz and Chilli.

Previously the posthumous album was expected to release in October and then November after her family finally agreed to work with producers at Surefire Music Group to honor the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.

Others expected to be featured on the album will include Left Eye’s sister Reigndrop Lopes, Missy Elliot, TLC members (T-Boz and Chilli), Chamillionaire, Bone Crusher, Free, Lil Mama, Bobby Valentino, Wanya Morris, amongst others.

In addition to the album “Eye Legacy,” it will also contain a DVD of never-before-seen footage of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in Honduras where the music producer/rapper was vacationing when she was tragically killed in a car accident and as well as re-released songs from the album Supernova.
