Atlanta rapper Ludacris and Soulja Boy gave back to the community on Saturday night in Atlanta by performing at AT&T’s ‘Unofficial’ 2008 SEC Football Championship Afterparty at the Tabernacle.

Fans gained entrance to the performance by sending the text ATTLUDA to 66937 for a mobile ticket that was good for up to two people. The tickets were delivered right to their mobile phone by way of a text message. Other fans got their tickets online via AT&T who sent the mobile ticket straight to their phone.

The first 1,000 attendees were admitted into the show and got a chance to see both rap acts in a live performance.

Ludacris performed a number of tracks from his latest album “Theater of The Mind” which dropped on November 24th, as well as some of his older and most notable songs. Soulja Boy (Soulja Boy Tell’em) who opened, performed his latest song and dance craze “Bird Walk” as well as a number of other tracks. Other artists who performed at the event included R&B/Hip-Hop singer Ciara, Sammie, Playaz Circle and I-20.

Check out the video below in which AT&T sat down with Ludacris and Soulja Boy to discuss their new albums as well as the impact of mobile technology in conjunction with social media on their careers.
