Kanye West
Grammy Award-winning rapper/songwriter and producer Kanye West has earned six nominations, including album of the year and rap album of the year for this year’s 50th Grammy Awards which is set to broadcast via CBS live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 10.

In addition to the Grammy news, Kayne West recently sold 451,395, units according to Nielsen Soundscan reports which were released on Dec. 3rd for his latest album “808s & Heartbreak,” a follow-up to his third studio album “Graduation” which was released on November 24, 2008.

Other artists to receive high nominations for a Grammy also include Lil Wayne who received the highest nominations (8), Amy Winehouse with 6 nominations as well as the Foo Fighters, Ne-Yo, Jay-Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and T-Pain who all received 5 nominations.
