Houston rapper Chamillionaire preps for the release for his third album ‘Venom’ which is expected to release in ’09 at his new home at Chamillitary/Universal Republic Records. The album which is a follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2007 sophomore effort, “Ultimate Victory,” is expected to feature production by Mannie Fresh, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, and Drumma Boy.
At Universal Republic Records, Chamillionaire joins recently signed artists Lil Jon, India.Arie, Damian Marley, Stephen Marley, and Amy Winehouse among others through a secured distribution from Universal Republic with his own label Chamillitary.
On November 23rd, Chamillionaire released Mixtape Messiah 5, which several tracks can be found on his official website www.chamillionaire.com.
In other news, the Platinum Grammy Award Winning Rapper was named highest ringtone artists/rapper which was acknowledged by the RIAA via their new sales category “Mastertone” in which he sold a whooping 5 million ring tones for “Ridin Dirty” giving him the status of the first multi-platinum Mastertone artist in history.
