Rap Producer Dr. Dre’s 20-Year-Old Son Found Dead in Los Angeles Home
Andre Young Jr., 20, the son of rapper/producer Dr. Dre, born AndrÃ© Romelle Young, was found dead in his Woodland Hills, Calif., home on Saturday (Aug. 23). Young was found in his bed around 10 A.M. by his mother who told police Young had been out the night before, but returned home Saturday at around 5:30 A.M. before she discovered him when she went to check on him.
The cause of death is still unknown, pending completion of toxicology tests which could take four to six weeks.
The police, at this time, do not suspect any form of foul play.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Dr. Dre, said he “is mourning the loss of his son. Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time.”
