Gossip site Mediatakeout is reporting that “Lil Gloss” rapper Lil Mama, whose real name is Niatia Jessica Kirkland’s mother, Tyra Kirkland died this weekend, however there hasn’t be any official word from the label at this time which HipHopRX attempted to contact.
Reports state that her mother suffered from cancer and has battled with it since 2003. Tyra Kirkland is stated to have died on December 15th according to another report. The young female rapper was stated to have been performing in Atlanta at the time when she received the news. After hearing the news she flew back to New York to mourn with family and friends.
