Rapper Foxy Brown born Inga Marchand, 27, is headed to Rose M. Singer Center a womens facility on Rikers Island, after a Manhattan judge named Melissa Jackson ordered the reportedly three-months-pregnant rapper to serve time for violating her probation, reports TMZ.
During court, the judge was made aware that Brown is three-months-pregnant and she plans to get married.
Previously, officials had sought to have her probation revoked after she was arrested on charges that she smacked her Brooklyn neighbor with her cell phone, said Jack Ryan, a spokesman for the city Department of Probation.
Complaints were also made that Brown had skipped her anger management classes and failed to get permission before traveling outside the city.
The rapper is stated to be in jail until her next hearing on September 7. Currently a decision is being made on whether she will be segregated from the rest of the facility’s population.
