Keyshia Cole Set To Release “Just Like You”, Pays Tribute To Nortorious B.I.G. on New CD

Oakland native Keyshia Cole, is set to release the follow up to her platinum-selling debut, “The Way It Is” with “Just Like You” on Geffen Records on September 18, 2007.

The R&B/Hip-Hop singer recently released her first video single, “Let It Go,” featuring Missy Elliot and Lil’ Kim on BET’s “Access Granted” July 11th which was produced by Elliot. The song is a tribute to the late Nortorious Big (Biggie Smallz).

“We hooked it up,” she told MTV about the song. “As soon as I heard ['Let It Go'], I was like, ‘That one, I want that one right there.’ And it’s hot. It’s Biggie’s remake to ['Juicy'], so I had to do it.”

The album will feature production and appearances from: Scott Storch, Anthony Hamilton, Missy Elliott, Lil’ Kim, Bryan-Michael Cox, Greg Curtis, Kanye West, John Legend, Mario Winans, Sean Garrett and Too Short, R.Kelly, Young Jeezy, Tony! Toni! Toné!, Travis Barker & DJ Clue.

“This album is more about you, inside, and how you need to get yourself together, rather than pointing at somebody else and saying, ‘You don’t treat me right, you don’t do this.’ I’m truly lovin it, I listen to it myself. The last album, I didn’t really listen to until I went on tour. [Because] when you listen to your own experience, it’s like, I don’t wanna hear it anymore. I do write from my personal experiences, but I think it’s very important to young women,” Vibe quoted the singer as saying.

The singer is also gearing up for her second installment me of “The Way It Is 2″ which is a reality series based on her life in which executive produced along with her manager Manny Halley. The second season will focus on the making of her album and the release of her mother from prison.

In addition to her reality series, the star will also be starring in an upcoming MTV film “How She Moves.”

Keyshia Cole is stated to be finishing up her album and is planning a multi-city tour with the dates to be announced soon.
