Snoop Dogg, Ice-T and Others To Roast Flavor Flav
Rapper Flavor Flav (William J. Drayton) from the hit show “Flavor of Love” and the hypeman of Public Enemy is set to shoot his “Comedy Central Roast†special “Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav†on July 22 at Warner Bros. studios in Los Angeles which will be hosted by Comedian Katt Williams who will be the Roast Master.
This year’s Roasters will include Carrot Top, Greg Giraldo, Ice-T, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Lampanelli, Bridgett Neilsen, Patton Oswalt, Snoop Dogg, Sommore, among others. The show will allow the stars to roast Flavor Flav with cruel jokes and make a mockery of him like previous celebrities who appeared on the show. The DJ for the show will be none other than DJ Spinderella (Salt n Peppa) who will be spinning on the one’s and two’s.
“We only roast the ones we love – and the world is clearly crazy about this guy. This event will be full of surprises as Flavor Flav is going to experience a whole new kind of love in this Roast,” said Elizabeth Porter, senior vice president, specials and talent for COMEDY CENTRAL.
The Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav will air on Sunday, August 12 at 10:00 p.m.
“The COMEDY CENTRAL Roast of Flavor Flav” will be executive produced by Joel Gallen from Tenth Planet Productions, who also executive produced and directed “The COMEDY CENTRAL Roast of William Shatner” and “The COMEDY CENTRAL Roast of Pamela Anderson.”
In other news, Flavor Flav is currently on tour with Public Enemy front man and partner Chuck D. and will be celebrating 20 years in the rap industry.
Meanwhile, 4.1 million people saw Sapphyri win Sunday’s season finale of VH1′s “Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School Featuring Mo’Nique,” a series in which ladies who appeared in “Flavor of Love†competed in a series of etiquette courses.
The season-long ratings, compiled by Nielsen Media Research, made “Charm School†VH1′s third-highest-rated series ever.
