Lil’ Wayne has signed a deal to star in an upcoming online reality series titled “Making The Next Hit” with TheNext.tv according to music publication Billboard.
The show will feature 27 episodes all being based upon the auditions being held in 27 different cities where they will be looking for talent such as rappers, singers, producers, models, and more over the reminder of the year. The show will be hosted by veteran MC Busy Bee and up and coming music producer Pit, producer of the Shop Boyz’ “Party Like a Rockstar.”
“Making The Next Hit” will begin airing in January of 2008 with the next set of auditions being held in July and August in Georgia, Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York.
Cash Money Records will have first right of refusal in signing the selected winning act of the show.
The show will be airing 27 hour-long episodes on TheNext.tv.
