Oakland, CA rapper Paperboy born Mitchell Johnson, known for his hit “Ditty” in 1993 was arrested earlier last week after police found $1,200 worth of marijuana in his car. The rapper was stopped by Merced, California authorities on Wednesday night (June 13) and a car search was issued which revealed he had more than an ounce of marijuana.
Paperboy was taking into custody and booked on transportation of marijuana for sale, suspicion of possession and sale of marijuana, and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana.
According to authorities the rapper had been under investigation for a number of weeks in which they obtained a search warrant to search his residence, but was unable to recover any further drugs besides a bag with marijuana residue.
Paperboy bail was set at $20,000.
