
Only a few short days ago, Atlanta based rapper Diamond Princess “Brittany Nicole Carpentero”, 19, was arrested around the time of her birthday. The rapper was arrested on aggravated assault charges due to a young woman getting stabbed on the group’s tour bus over a man. The rapper reportedly was arguing with the woman over the man when an associate of Diamond instigated and stabbed the girl. Sources state that the rapper is a victim of mistaken identity.

Looks like Beyonce and Jay-Z are spending time together again in Monaco. In September the two was caught having a good time there while Jay-Z was filming a new video there. The singer is said to have been taking a break away from her tour.

Black College Professor Bill Maxwell Quits Job Due To Hip-Hop Ghetto Students

According to a report a former college professor and previous St. Petersburg Times journalist quit his job as a College Professor due to his students having no interest in learning. Professor Maxwell compares his first day at the 800 bodied Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to “Chris Rock’s joke, or Dave Chappelle’s.. the one about every U.S. city’s Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, ironically being the place where shootings and robberies are taking place as we speak.”
In the article Professor Maxwell was seeking out to infuse fresh, young minds with the wealth of his knowledge, but it seems like that goal was not accomplished.

Pras Says No Hip Hop Reunion For Group Fugees Blames Lauryn Hill

Multi-platinum and Grammy-winning hip hop group consisting of Wyclef Jean (rapper, singer, music producer), Lauryn Hill (rapper, singer and actress), and Pras Michel (rapper) were reportedly stated to be having a comeback reunion, but according to a recent statement by Pras that reunion is now dead.

Common’s Video Premier, Billboard magazine cover and July Album Release

Rap artist, lyrical poet, actor and Grammy Award nominee Common “Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr.” will be premiering his new video “The Game” for his new single off the album “Finding Forever” expected in stores July 10, 2007 on Unleashed MTV2 on May 29, 2007 which he filmed beginning May 3, 2007. In addition, Common has also landed on the front cover of the Billboard magazine’s May issue which is also good look for him.
As for future things, this Summer Common will be sharing the stage for a free public concert with Joss Stone and Ryan Shaw for the SummerStage in Central Park on June 8.
Previously, Common made a move to the big screen by having a major role in the action thriller, “Smokin’ Aces” which starred Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman Alicia Keys and others.
Xzibit inks deal with Australian label, releasing album Full Circle

According to reports rapper Xzibit inked a deal with an Australian record label by the name of Illusive. Xzibit is stated to be releasing his album titled “Full Circle” there independently. The MTV “Pimp My Ride” tv host album will feature productions by producer Keith Shocklee (Bomb Squad), Dr. Dre and Timbaland to name a few. The rapper will be performing on June 29, 2007 at the Metro in Melbourne, Australia.

Rapper Eve Officially Charged with DUI

Rapper Eve “Eve Jihan Jeffers” has been officially charged with “DUI” driving under the influence and failing to provide proof of insurance, after a late night car accident in Los Angeles on last week. The Ruff Ryder rapper was arrested after she crashed her gold Maserati into the center divider on Hollywood Blvd. around 2:45 AM in the morning. According to police officials her blood alcohol was almost twice the legal limit in LA.
The female rapper is due back in court on May 17 and she could face a minimum $1,000 fine and a maximum of six months in jail according to sources.
Eve is expected to release her upcoming album in August 2007 entitled “Here I Am”
